Using a mobile device you can text a keyword to sign up for text alerts.  This is a feature that allows you to sign up fo information specific to a topic or event that does not require full registration in the Alert Sarasota County system.   

 

The text alerts are generally for countywide topics of interest, not geo-targeted messages, about incidents or information within your neighborhood.  For location specific information, including weather, we encourage residents to register with the appropriate jurisdiction so you can receive these alerts on your preferred devices (phone, email, SMS, mobile app).
